I came to know of this book , when I was glancing through India Today about the authors second book.

The first book was mentioned as a witty take on life at IIT.
Since I had spent one year of my life at IIT , I thought it would be to good to read what he has to say .

The Book "Five Point Someone" is about 3 guys, and their life from the moment they enter IIT and till the time they leave IIT.

After reading the book I can say that it is very easy to read, and since I had previous acquaintances with the IIT , it was not tough for me to relate to it.

These "Five Point someone" are guys whose CGPA is 5 something out of 10 and a guy with a 5 something CGPA is social evil , a moron , a outlaw ,not fit for anything and above all, he will be treated as a Commerce student. Sorry Commerce Students.

All three guys are different in their approach to life , one being the studious with all the family responsibilities , the other being smart , cool and rebel guy and the next one is the guy who is the most confused of the lot.

I am not going to tell the story here , but some things which they did at IIT.
One guy opposes the Seniors during the ragging session , they bunk classes , they smoke , drink, and whatever. And another guy also falls in love with the HOD's beautiful daughter. There is more to this romantic story , for which you have to read the book.

AS the final solution to their problems they decide to steal the question papers before exams and get caught while doing so. They get suspended for a semester for doing this.

How they resume their life , how they get in track with other guys and how they get their much needed jobs forms the rest of the story .

A Very Very nice read .
